EXPANDING THE BOUNDARIES, Selected Drawings from the Yvonne and Gabriel P. Weisberg Collection opened at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts on December 13, 2008. Comprising about half of the promised gift of drawings to the MIA the exhibition is to run at the MIA until April 5, 2009. Exhibited in one room, just off the main esplanade of the museum, the exhibition reveals the interest the Weisberg's have had in locating and supporting very talented but lesser known artists from France and Belgium. The collection was begun in 1969. The following images document some of the key works in the show, the installation, and a few people in the exhibition itself:
